NTSC, dispossessed flapper.

he’s a rejector.

although i’ve always been an avid reader, i’ve taken the giant leap to writing, uhm, three years ago, when i started jotting down the outlines of what will henceforth be known as bondage 4 dummies, a novel brimming with social critique, mysogynism, love and death.

the storyline features liesbeth van innis, a thirty y.o. belgian sculptress, in search of a husband, more chardonnay to down, acceptance in society, a social life, and her missing friend annelise. but who’s the fat elvis-lookalike, and why does he read her mind? why did annelise really sleep eighteen hours a day? why did marie-josee believe she was jacqueline bouvier, right up to the day she converted to shia islam? what’s the fascist death squad all about? and, most importantly, when did western civilization lose itself?

the answers to these and many more intriguing questions can be found in bondage for dummies, if that overwrought carnival of nonsense ever gets finished & sees the light of day. start queuing please.

EDIT: it’s finished, and i still believe it’s the best thing to ever come out of dutch literature. it’s not really hard to create the best thing to ever come out of dutch literature, but still, hah. now off to the publishers!
